Brighton Pier

Taken using the rather nifty panorama feature on my new camera. When the sun comes out Brighton Beach is kind of nice :-)

Google Big Tent in Cannes

A 50 minute chat with Arianna Huffington, me, and Carlo D'Asaro Biondo about creativity, technology, and the modern condition. I was very tired and little hungover, but I could have made more of an idiot of myself than I did (perhaps).

See video below.

The Perfect Time to Visit

We were looking forward to visiting the UK. After a couple of years in the Pacific Northwest we were hoping for just a couple of days of sunshine by the seaside in Brighton. Obviously we've upset someone at some point...

Missing Music

One thing I massively miss about London / UK is the music. There's something about a place that's grown-up over the last few years on an underground diet of acid house / raves / jungle / techno / garage / grime / dubstep / whatever. The aftermath is pretty exciting / messy / good. Look at the insane lineup for the BLOC festival above. Crammed full of greatness from tons of genres (and not a Guetta in sight).

And the line-up for the Eastern Electrics Festival is killer too. I'm sure it's all there in NYC. It's just much more visible in London.

Riot Food

Oh wait. If you eat with them you're not a rioter. If you don't then you take to the streets. Oh wait, it's a fancy new way to say takeaway. Rad.

Toca Boca Tea Party

3 of us sitting round an iPad pouring tea for each other and listening to trad jazz. It can only be Toca Boca Tea Party.
